We specialize exclusively in the repair and maintenance of BMW, Audi, Porsche, Volkswagen, and MINI vehicles. Due to our shop size and focus, we do not install or repair tires and we do not perform body work. Our team provides factory-recommended maintenance and repairs for a wide range of late-model European vehicles, including BMW X models and 1–7 Series, Audi A and Q series, Volkswagen MKIV and newer models, MINI Cooper variants, and Porsche performance and luxury models.
Our services include factory scheduled maintenance, mileage-based services, inspections, timing belt replacements, brake service, and software updates for most models. We diagnose manufacturer warning lights and handle both electrical and mechanical repairs. This includes work on cooling systems, radiators, water pumps, catalytic converters, turbochargers, superchargers, timing chains, engine components, transmission systems, air conditioning, suspension parts, drivetrain components, and more. From minor service to major engine and drivetrain repairs, we provide comprehensive care for European vehicles.
History
Established in 2002
Advanced Autowerks opened its first location in the Dogpatch in 2002, followed by a Mission District location in April 2016. Founded by Rand Hoffman, the shop was built on the idea that an auto repair business could deliver a high-quality experience customers genuinely appreciate. Over the years, that vision has become reality, with loyal customers, strong community support, and consistently excellent reviews.
