History
Established in 1906
In 1925, W.A. Watts helped organize the Birmingham Building and Loan Association, which later became the Birmingham Federal Savings and Loan Association. Over the years, members of the Watts family have been recognized for their leadership and contributions to real estate, including Bill Watts, Jr., who was Birmingham’s 1963 Realtor of the Year and recipient of the President’s Cup Award in 1986. Bill Watts, III served as President of the Birmingham Association of Realtors in 1988 and received multiple awards, including Alabama Realtor of the Year in 1991 and the President’s Cup Award in 1998. He also held leadership roles in the Alabama Association of Realtors and was appointed to the Alabama Real Estate Commission from 2007 to 2021. Chip Watts achieved AMO accreditation and served as President of the Institute of Real Estate Management in 2021.

Bill W. — Business Owner
Bill W., Chairman of the Board of Watts Realty, leads the firm while actively participating in civic, religious, and industry organizations. He holds multiple professional certifications including Certified Property Manager (CPM), Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), and Certified Real Estate Broker (CRB). Bill has served as President of both the Birmingham Association of Realtors (1988) and the Alabama Association of Realtors (2006), earning numerous honors such as Birmingham’s Realtor of the Year (1990), Alabama Realtor of the Year (1991), and the Alabama Realtor’s Robert Jemison Award (1998). He was appointed to the Alabama Real Estate Commission representing Alabama’s 6th Congressional District from 2007 to 2021 and is licensed in both real estate and insurance.
