History
Lovejoy’s first opened at Church and 24th Streets in the early 1990s. In 2000, the tea room moved to its current location. The business began as an antique shop that also served tea.
Over time, guests fell in love with the tea and scones. Soon, the tea room became the heart of the business. The name Lovejoy’s came from Jonathan Gash’s novels about an antique dealer named Lovejoy.
Today, Lovejoy’s reflects the diversity and spirit of San Francisco. We bring together tea traditions, quirky charm, and a warm neighborhood feel. Our team invites every guest to relax and enjoy tea in a setting that feels both classic and one of a kind.
